Marguerite Bride

Marguerite Bride - Watercolorist
While Marguerite Bride has been painting full-time for about 30 years, each new painting continues to present creative new challenges and joy. She painted her first commissioned house portrait 25 years ago and has been capturing the joy and warmth of someone’s “castle” ever since. Besides commission work, she loves painting New England scenes in winter…and while just about any season is wonderful, winter offers that mystical element of snow. Especially when depicting town centers and vintage scenes.
Over the years her work has ventured in some different directions. For example, one of her new-found loves involves nature-oriented paintings… especially the wonderful swamps, lakes and wetlands we find here in New England. She also has done many commissions that depict scenes from the past. Her Jazz series (watercolor on canvas) captures the old clubs in Harlem.
Before moving to NH in May, 2025, Bride was a full-time artist and appeared in many regional art festivals in New England and New York and also gave lessons in Watercolor Technique.
